OREGON FRESH START is managed by Dale L. Smith, an Oregon bankruptcy attorney and a member in good standing of the Oregon State Bar since 1979 (OSB #79398). After attending the United States Coast Guard Academy, Dale received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970 from the University of Oregon. Upon graduation, he worked in commercial banking for several years, and then received his Juris Doctor degree from The Northwestern School of law in 1979. He has been married to Marilyn Smith for 42 years and has four children. When not helping clients solve financial stress, he enjoys running (he has a few marathons under his belt), kayaking, cycling, and an occasional round of golf.
