New Hampshire is the 9th state of the United States, admitted into the union in the year 1788. It is the 5th smallest of all the 50 states in terms of area, and the 10th smallest in terms of population. The state is regarded as one of the safest in the country with favorable rates in all aspects. Not only does New Hampshire have a low crime rate (149 per 100,000 people - one of few states to have one lower than 200), its poverty rate is the lowest in the country, and its incarceration rate is among the lowest too. The state is also known for its steady decline rate - the highest of which (11%) was seen between 2019 and 2020.
